This Palace House is located in the historic centre of the city of Écija (Seville), one of the most important Baroque architectural historic centres in Andalusia.

The property is situated in the monumental and heritage heart of the city, surrounded by the most significant civil and ecclesiastical landmarks: the Palace of the Marquises of Peñaflor and the Palace of the Marquises of Alcántara, the Church of Santa Ana, and the Roman Bridge over the Genil River.

Fully refurbished at the beginning of the 21st century, it is currently in good condition.

The House has the typology of an 18th-century Palace House with a columned courtyard. The building follows classic architectural standards in its proportions and layout. Its façade features very distinctive elements of 18th-century Ecijan architecture: the period-pattern painted hood moulding, with the pomegranate as an ornamental motif; the masonry façade with exposed brickwork; and the traditional wooden shutters and ornamental ironwork, all demonstrating a high level of craftsmanship. All these elements are original from the 18th century and have been carefully restored.

The property was acquired in 1999 and restored in 2002 for residential use. Taking advantage of the opportunities at that time, a hotel operation was established in the property. The restoration works carried out were adapted to this change of use. The hotel activity ended in 2020, and operations closed during the pandemic.

Although Écija is an important heritage city with a privileged location in Andalusia between two major tourist centres, Seville and Córdoba, it lacked hotel facilities capable of accommodating mid- to high-end visitors who could promote Écija as a tourist destination.

In addition to the expected amenities for modern living, great care has been taken with the interior finishes. An important collection of furniture has been assembled, furnishing the rooms and various interior spaces. This includes antique pieces sourced from palace houses in Écija, Seville, and the Americas, as well as lamps, rugs, and artworks.

The property is fully equipped to operate either as a hotel or as a private residence.

The garden features three old orange trees, an ancient European Fan Palm, and three pomegranate trees, as well as two wells. It also includes a swimming pool with counter-current swimming system and hydromassage.

It has a total of 15 rooms: 10 double rooms and 5 suites, a main living room, kitchen, laundry room, and underfloor heating.

Expansion project: 7 additional suites, bringing the total potential to 22 rooms.

Agency fee of 3% + VAT not included in the price.
